You Wouldn’t Believe

I’ve seen things you people wouldn’t believe

Guitarists fighting over new strings from a guy called Steve

A manager’s discretion as he pays a hooker to leave

The vocalist keeps singing knowing she’ll never achieve

A broken soul in the corner without any reprieve

And the crowd sings along with a chorus conceived

The bartender looks on wishing that he could just leave

As the bouncer gets ready to roll up his sleeve

But the band keeps on playing without any reprieve

With a sound that’s relentless and poorly received

And I can’t stop thinking its all preconceived

Because I have seen things you people wouldn’t believe
